The Deep Dirty South
This is just to say. We're home. Where consonants are clipped and classes have started. Safe. Arrived this morning at 8:30 am to post-spring break style weather after leaving Oxford, Mississippi 22 hours earlier. It's been the most productive day and not only because I have been awake for the last 30 hours, had a conversation as long as Tennessee, shopped four classes, reveled in two awkward moments, driven across six states and met with my advisor who agreed with my (sleep deprived) gut instincts. Off to laundry, buy books, dinner and collapse. Road trip told in installments to come.
